Residents' Council Monthly Meeting
The Charlestown Residents' Council Meeting is on March 1, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. in the Auditorium. Each month's minutes are posted two weeks after a meeting. Use the updated Council photo to identify Council members. A summary of the meeting, Voices of the Council, is shown on Channel 972 the Friday after the Council meeting during the news at 10, Noon, 4 p.m., 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Watch the entire meeting on Channel 972 on the weekends at 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Change in Meeting Room: The Safety & Security Committee will meet in Brookside Classroom 2 on January 26, 1:00 p.m. Residents are invited to attend any Council Committee meeting. Please call the chair to make sure there is room to attend. Committees meet on a regular schedule as posted.

"More Love Songs from the Heart" with the Langbehns on Friday, February 19th, 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium. Tickets for $5/$6 at the door with proceeds to support the Benevolent Care Fund.

Channel 972 Program Guide grid indicating regular daily show programming is now available online under Books/Media tab.
Check the post and video on the blog of the removal of the dead cherry tree in front of the Fountain Hill building January 14. A replacement tree will be planted in the Spring.
Sandtown Forum Information
The successful forum about Sandtown in Baltimore City resulted in attendees wanting more information. The handout with participant information and links is available here.
Winter Putterland 2016
Registration is now open for the Annual Winter Putterland Minature Golf festivities at Charlestown Conference Center. Purchase 50/50 Raffle tickets, and sign up for the Inter-Community Tournament, Team Tournament and/or Open Play running on February 24th, February 26th, and February 27th.
New Walking Map
A new Outdoor Walking Route Map shows measured walking routes to avoid the construction area. A new Indoor Walking Route Map is now available showing a marked .75-mile route. The maps are also available at the lobby desks.
The team will return to those apartments that were not available during the regular schedule. The exterior door locks will be changed later. The patio doors for ground level apartments are not part of the project. Watch for announcements to recycle your keys. Please be patience waiting for extra keys. New key blanks were ordered to handle the demand.
Charlestown’s Mission Moments is an employee recognition program, designed to give residents, family members, guests, and other employees the opportunity to give special recognition to employees who demonstrate Charlestown values in particularly exemplary ways. Recognition forms are available here and at the Lobby Desks. Watch channel 972 for announcements of the Mission Moments Masters – the best of the best nominations from the previous month.

Tech Tutors is a resident volunteer program that provides one-on-one instruction for people needing help with their computer or tablet. A request form for the free service is available online for printing and also at the lobby desks. Basic information can be found in the group's Frequently Asked Questions document.
